Origin

Just as everything has a short story behind its’ past, same way my Alma matter where I learnt how to draw an apple has a beautiful origin basically from where all of it started. Bama Academy of fine arts is an institute where young artists come and explore their artistic talent. It is a place where one learns a lot and does a lot as they teachers there are very calm, humble and very patient teachers. I joined Bama academy as a kid of 5 initially when the classes took place at the founder s’ residence.
Origin of Bama academy can be traced back to as long as 1990 when the academy started initially. Prior to the existence of the academy, Mr Ram Kumar Sharma(co founder/director) along with his family was in Nigeria and worked in a place called Bama. Mrs Bharti Kumar proposed the concept of opening an academy once they reached back to India.

Mrs Bharti, who is an amazing artist and a philosopher, urged the need for good institute/coaching classes etc so as to make the interested students aware of the modern art and other art related information. An academy would not only be a common place to teach but also would provide a direct appeal to the inclination that is indebted inside the students. Initially the academy was started to promote art as a hobby and the classes started at Mr Ram Kumar Sharma s’ residence thereafter, in order to have a structural place to teach the classes were opened in sector 8, panchkula and it was a huge success as across the tri city all the students who had a strong proclivity towards art joined the academy. I personally joined the academy so I know the amount of dedication they showed so as to burnish my quality in sketching.

Recently the academy has improved with the dynamic world, and has extended and grown quite a lot. The academy has started to prepare students to get admission into highly professionalized courses such as architectural, designing etc. It makes me feel proud to return to this place and each time find it completely occupied with all the students working with oil colours, poster paints, sketching etc etc.
Recently the academy has shifted to sector 14 panchkula and has grown humungous, It has also started various extracurricular activities such as music and allows the students to completely follow their passion and achieve their goal. The academy is not restricted to just fine arts now but has extended to music and shortly other activities would also be inivited.

I believe that this place has enhanced my passion and zeal for sketching and I would like thank Sir Mr, Ram Kumar Sharma,  Maam, Mrs Bharti Sharma and again Sir, Mr Anand Sharma who have given considerable time to teach me.
